Every Person Precious!

In our day, when human lives are taken by famines, diseases, wars, and crimes, including murder of unborn fetuses through abortion, it seems that human lives are cheap!  But not so, in God’s eyes!  To God, every individual human being is precious!  2 Peter 3:9 tells us:

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all come to repentance.

1 Timothy 2:3-4 likewise says:

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth [emphasis added in both quotes].

To make this desire possible, God has revealed, through His commanded feasts or festivals – what He will do. This is pictured by the last of God’s seven feasts – “The Last Great Day” – known by WCG members as “LGD” (Leviticus 23:36).  It is the eighth day following the seven-day Feast of Tabernacles (FOT).

Revelation 20:11-15 details this final Judgment Day [or period], reserved for every human being who has died not having received the knowledge of God’s salvation in Jesus Christ in their lifetime. [See: “This Is Not the Only day of Salvation.”]

Verse 11 shows a “great white throne,” on which sits the resurrected and glorified Jesus, to whom God the Father has given all authority to judge all of mankind in the “last day” (John 5:22).

Verse 12 of Revelation 20 shows these dead people, great and small, being resurrected to physical life and standing before Christ’s judgment seat, and they will have their chance to have the books” [from the Greek biblia] – the Holy Bible – opened to their understanding.  With Satan and his demons safely back in their prison (Revelation 20:1-4), and with the gift of God’s Spirit poured out on them (Joel 2:28-29), these resurrected human beings will  have an easier time understanding and obeying (living by) God’s word (1 Corinthians 2:9-12).

Like the mortals who will have been judged during Christ’s millennial (l000-year), these resurrected humans will also be judged “according to [their] works” (Revelation 20:13).  [See: “Judged by Our Works.”]

Those judged faithful and worthy to receive everlasting life will have their names written in God’s “ The Book of Life.” Those who remain unrepentant, unbelieving and working wickedness will be cast into the “lake of fire” (Verses 14-15) and will experience the “second death,” from which there is no hope of ever living again – total perdition for all eternity!

Christ’s judgment is perfect and sure, but so are His mercies, so that every single human being who truly believes, accepts and worships Him will not perish, but have everlasting life in His glorious Kingdom (John 3:16). Each one is precious! [See: “When He Cometh to Make Up His Jewels!” and “God’s Feasts and the Jews – Part 3.”]
